Ken joined Mortgage Master Service Corporation in 2009. Previously, Ken served as President of Kenary, Incorporated and as a Loan Originator for Lenders Mortgage Service and All Reverse Mortgage.
Always active in many civic and non-profit organizations, Ken has chaired the Washington State Mortgage Brokers Commission, served as Board of Directors President of the Washington Association of Mortgage Brokers and Our Savior Lutheran Church. He has served on several committees in those organizations, as well as the Southwest King County and Eastern Pierce County Chamber of Commerce, the National Reverse Mortgage Lenders Association (NRMLA), the Puget Sound Mortgage Lenders Association (PSMLA), the National Association of Mortgage Brokers (NAMB) and the Washington Aging In Place Council-(WAIPC).
The accredited CSA designation from the Society of Certified Senior Advisors was conferred upon Ken in March 2007. Always interested in professional education, Ken earned the NAMB Certified Mortgage Consultant-CMC designation in 1991 and became one of the first instructors approved to teach continuing education to his peers.
Ken discovered his aptitude for numbers while testing for his job classification in the U.S. Army. From 1973-1976, Ken served in the Finance Company of 4th Infantry Division stationed at Fort Carson, Colorado. After being honorably discharged at the rank of E-5, Ken moved to Washington and began his lending career in 1977 with ITT-Aetna Finance Company in the downtown Seattle office. Promoted to Renton Branch Manager in 1979 where he worked until 1981, when he was hired to open and manage the first Washington branch of Security Pacific Finance Company. Ken worked as a District Manager for Finance One/Manufacturer’s Hanover and as an Assistant Vice President for Old Stone Credit Corporation before joining Lenders Mortgage Service in 1991.
Ken and his wife Nita lived in Puyallup, where both of their daughters graduated from Rogers High School. Both are married and each couple has two children, and Nana and Papa now live in Kent, equal distance between the grandkids.
